AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF THESE TWO COMPANIES. <br />LAUREL WOOD SUBDIVISION RECEIVED TENTATIVE APPROVAL ON AUGUST <br />6, 1975 AND ATTORNEY BOGOSIAN IS REQUESTING A SEWER AND WATER.FRANCHISE <br />FOR LAUREL WOOD SUBDIVISION LOCATED WEST OF 20TH AVENUE BETWEEN GLENDALE <br />AND CITRUS ROADS. THE%FREATMENT PLANT WILL BE LOCATED ON APPROXIMATELY <br />40 ACRES OF PROPERTY SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE SUBDIVISION AT THE <br />CORNER OF 27TH AVENUE AND REBEL ROAD, THIS 40 ACRE PARCEL IS IN THE <br />PROCESS OF PURCHASE NEGOTIATIONS. <br />THE COUNTY FRANCHISE HAS STIPULATED THAT THE DEVELOPER WILL <br />TURN OVER THE SEWER AND WATER LINES TO THE COUNTY IN ANTICIPATION OF THE <br />COUNTY GETTING INTO A COUNTYWIDE SEWER AND WATER PROGRAM. <br />ATTORNEY BOGOSIAN IS REQUESTING THAT THE SEWER PLANT, FORCE <br />MAINS AND THE LIFT STATIONS NOT BE TURNED OVER TO THE .COUNTY AND THAT <br />THE FRANCHISE BE AMENDED ACCORDINGLY. <br />ATTORNEY BOGOSIAN STATED THAT IF THE BOARD FEELS IT APPROPRIATE <br />TO GRANT THIS FRANCHISE WITH THIS STIPULATION, THE COUNTY WILL HAVE A <br />SYSTEM SIMILAR TO WHAT SEMINOLE COUNTY HAS STARTED IN ORDER TO GET INTO <br />A COUNTY -WIDE SEWER AND WATER SYSTEM. IF THE BOARD DOES NOT APPROVE <br />THIS AMENDMENT, THEN LAUREL HOMES INC. WILL JUST BUILD A SMALL PACKAGE <br />PLANT AT THE SITE OF THE SUBDIVISION. <br />IF THIS FRANCHISE IS APPROVED.AS REQUESTED, THIS SYSTEM WILL <br />BECOME AVAILABLE TO OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS AND DEVELOPERS IN THIS <br />AREA, THE SYSTEM THAT LAUREL HOMES, INC. AND CUSTOMER SERVICE INC. <br />ARE REQUESTING THE FRANCHISE ON WILLHAVE A 100,000 GALLONS PER DAY <br />CAPACITY AND COULD SERVE 300 CUSTOMERS. THE._DEVELQPER:.HOEES.TO <br />EXPAND THIS FACILITY TO TREAT 1,000,000 GALLONS PER DAY AND SERVE <br />APPROXIMATELY 3,000 CUSTOMERS. <br />ATTORNEY BOGOSIAN CONTINUED THAT THE DEVELOPER WANTS TO RETAIN <br />OWNERSHIP OF THESE FACILITIES BECAUSE THE OVERSIZED SEWER AND WATER <br />LINES NEEDED ARE VERY EXPENSIVE AND IN ORDER TO JUSTIFY THIS EXPENDITURE <br />THEY HOPE TO SERVE OTHER DEVELOPERS AND PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE FUTURE. <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED THE IXORA PARK SERVICES AND THE FACT THAT <br />THEY ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF POLLUTION CONTROL <br />BECAUSE THEIR TREATMENT PLANT IS NOT OPERATING EFFICIENTLY AND THEY <br />QUESTIONED IF IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO SERVICE THEM FROM THIS PROPOSED <br />PLANT. <br />- 22 -. <br />SEP 1 0 1975 <br />tnOIi 23 PAgr32 <br />
