COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER LEFT THE MEETING AND DID NOT PARTICIPATE <br />IN THE DISCUSSION OF THE REQUEST FOR TENTATIVE APPROVAL FOR SEMINOLE <br />SHORES SUBDIVISION. <br />ATTORNEY BLOCK STATED THAT BECAUSE OF ECONOMIC CONDITIONS HIS <br />CLIENTS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO MOVE ALONG AS FAST AS THEY WOULD HAVE LIKED <br />ATTORNEY BLOCK CONTINUED THAT THEY NOW HAVE A POTENTIAL BUYER FOR THIS <br />PROPERTY AND IF THE SALE DOES NOT GO THROUGH, THEN THE DEVELOPERS WILL <br />DEFINITELY DEVELOP THIS PROPERTY.. <br />LOWELL LOHMAN, OWNER OF THE ABOVE SUBDIVISION APPEARED AND <br />STATED THAT THERE WERE MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE DESIGN OF THE WATER <br />AND SEWER SYSTEM THAT HAD TO BE WORKED OUT, WHICH TOOK APPROXIMATELY <br />SIX MONTHS. <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED THEIR CONCERN OF SETTING A PRECEDENT BY <br />APPROVING A SECOND EXTENSION OF TENTATIVE APPROVAL AND IT WAS SUGGESTED <br />THAT THE TENTATIVE APPROVAL BE TERMINATED AND THEY APPLY FOR A NEW <br />TENTATIVE APPROVAL. <br />ATTORNEY BLOCK STATED THAT IF TENTATIVE APPROVAL IS TERMINATED <br />IT MIGHT POSSIBLY MEAN THAT THE PERMITS THEY HAVE OBTAINED WOULD NOT <br />BE VALID AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO START OVER OBTAINING THE NECESSARY <br />PERMITS. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT STATED THAT HE BELIEVES THE DEVELOPER <br />RAN INTO PROBLEMS GETTING THE SEWER AND WATER SYSTEM WORKED OUT AND <br />HE WOULD CONSIDER A SECOND EXTENSION PROVIDED THAT THIS PROJECT WILL <br />BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE SUBDIVISION REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR THEIR COMMENTS. <br />AND APPROVAL. <br />THE BOARD AGREED TO COMMISSIONER SIEBERT'S SUGGESTION AND THE <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR WILL SET UP A MEETING WITH THE SUBDIVISION REVIEW <br />COMMITTEE AND THIS ITEM WILL BE PLACED ON THE AGENDA FOR THE MEETING OF <br />SEPTEMBER 24, 1975. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER RETURNED TO THE MEETING. <br />VAN MURPHY, DISTRICT FORESTER WITH THE FLORIDA FORESTRY SERVICE <br />APPEARED TO PRESENT A CHECK TO THE CHAIRMAN FROM THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT <br />OF AGRICULTURE& CONSUMER SERVICES. THE COUNTY FILED AN APPLICATION DATED <br />MAY 22, 1975 FOR FEDERAL COST-SHARING ASSISTANCE UNDER THE PROVISION OF <br />TITLE IV OF THE RURAL DEVELOPMENT ACT AND THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT WAS <br />APPROVED: <br />3 <br />SEP 1O 1975 , <br />
