HAVING PASSED, THE DEPUTY CLERK <br />READ THE FOLLOWING NOTICE WITH PROOF OF PUBLICATION ATTACHED TO WIT: <br />VERO BEACH PRESS -JOURNAL <br />Published Weekly <br />Vero Beach, Indian River County, Florida <br />COUNTY OF INDIAN RIVER: <br />STATE OF FLORIDA <br />Before the undersigned authority personally appeared J. J. Schumann, Jr. who on oath <br />says that he is Business Manager of the Vero Beach Press-Joumal, a weekly newspaper published <br />at Vero Beach in Indian River County, Florida; that the attached copy of advertisement, being <br />a ,S6 <br />the matter of -1.LG .4x. //AMU. 412144itacasc.4.. <br />In the Court was pub- <br />lished in said newspaper in the issues of �8�vra>/ ' 2 /Gi <br />Affiant further says that the said Vero Beach Press -Journal is a newspaper published at <br />Vero Beach, In said Indian River County, and that the said newspaper has heretofore <br />been continuously published in said Indian River County, Florida, weekly and has been entered <br />as second class mail matter at the post office in Vero Beach, in said Indian River County, Florida <br />for a period of one year next preceeding the first publication of the attached copy of adver- <br />tisement; and affiant further says that he has neither paid nor promised any person, firm or <br />corporation any discount, rebate, commission or refund for the purpose of securing this adver- <br />tisement for publication in the said newspaper. <br />Sworn to and subscribed before me this <br />(SEAU <br />NOTICE <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <br />that the Board of County Com. <br />missioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida will hold a public hearing <br />on December 17, 1975, at 2:00 <br />o'clock P.M. at the Indian River <br />County Courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida, to consider the adoption of <br />an Amendment to Indian River <br />County Ordinance 71.3 by adding to <br />Section 4 (b) the Agricultural <br />District, a permitted use of funeral <br />homes; and Section 18 (b) which is <br />Planned Business District, a <br />permitted use of funeral homes. <br />Board of County <br />Commissioners of <br />Indian River County <br />Florida <br />By: Alma Lee Loy <br />Chairman <br />Nov. 27, 1975. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT THIS PROPOSED ORDINANCE IS TO <br />AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 71-3 SECTIONS 4 AND 18 BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL PERMITTED <br />USE TO THE AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT OF FUNERAL HOMES, <br />VAL BRENNAN, PLANNING DIRECTOR APPEARED AND STATED THAT THE PLANNING <br />DEPARTMENT DOES NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHANGE BECAUSE IT POSSIBLY MIGHT OPEN <br />THE DOOR TO OTHER REQUESTS FOR CHANGE IN THE AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT.OF THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE. HE CONTINUED THAT THE DANGER IS THAT IF ADOPTED, THE BOARD <br />HAS ALLOWED A BUSINESS USE IN AN AGRICULTURE ZONE, <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT ASKED IF MR. BRENNAN WOULD HAVE ANY OBJECTION <br />TO AMENDING THE ORDINANCE TO PERMIT FUNERAL HOMES AS AN "ACCESSORY USE"INSTEAD <br />OF AS A "PERMITTED USE". <br />MR.
