"TOMMY" THOMAS, COUNTY COORDINATOR, REPORTED ON A*REQUEST z <br />FROM THE SEBASTIAN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND AMBULANCE SQUAD FOR 15 <br />POCKET PAGERS MADE IN A LETTER WRITTEN BY .JOY SNELL, CAPTAIN OF THE <br />AMBULANCE SQUAD. HE STATED THAT THIS IS A REQUEST FOR MATCHING FUNDS, <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,251.92 AND HE FEELS IT IS A WORTHWHILE PROJECT. HE <br />ALSO POINTED OUT THAT IF WE DO NOT USE THE MONEY, EVENTUALLY EMERGENCY <br />MEDICAL SERVICES WILL REQUEST IT BE RETURNED. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT STATED THAT HE HAD BEEN INFORMED THAT THESE WERE <br />TWO-WAY PAGERS, WHICH HE FELT WERE UNNECESSARY, AND IN ADDITION, WOULD DOUBLE <br />THE COST, HE CONTINUED THAT HE ALSO FELT THE POSSIBILITY OF MATCHING FUNDS <br />FROM THE MUNICIPALITY INVOLVED SHOULD BE CONSIDERED. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy STATED THAT ONE OF THE MAIN FUNCTIONS OF OUR <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE IS TO INDICATE TO US THE <br />PRIORITIES FOR NEEDS IN THE WAY OF EQUIPMENT IN THE COUNTY, AND SHE FELT <br />THIS REQUEST SHOULD BE REFERRED TO THEM. <br />COMMISSIONER MASSEY SAID HE FELT EVERY EFFORT SHOULD BE MADE TO <br />ACCOMMODATE THE VOLUNTEERS. ` <br />AFTER FURTHER DISCUSSION, IT WAS AGREED TO REFER THIS REQUEST TO <br />THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE. <br />DANA HOWARD APPEARED REPRESENTING ALBERT GERVAIS AND REQUESTING <br />FINAL APPROVAL OF GERVAIS SUBDIVISION. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE HAD A CONFLICT <br />OF INTEREST AND WOULD ABSTAIN FROM VOTING. HE PREVIOUSLY FILED AN <br />AFFIDAVIT WITH THE CLERK, IN REGARD TO THIS CONFLICT OF INTEREST, AS FOLLOWS: <br />
