HE STATED THAT HE HAS NEVER RECOMMENDED BUYING USED <br /> EQUIPMENT, BUT AFTER INSPECTING THIS TRUCK, HE FELT HE COULD RECOMMEND <br /> BUYING IT. <br /> DISCUSSION FOLLOWED, AND ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LOY, SECONDED <br /> BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE ADMINIS— <br /> TRATOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS ON A 1976 MODEL TRUCK WITH SPECIFICATIONS <br /> THAT WOULD ALLOW FOR THE PICK UP AND DELIVERY OF VOTING MACHINES AND TO <br /> INCLUDE AS AN ALTERNATE A TRUCK WITH THE SAME SPECIFICATIONS NOT MORE THAN <br /> ' THREE YEARS OLD, <br /> COMMISSIONER LOY STATED SHE WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST THE CHAIRMAN a <br /> BE AUTHORIZED TO WRITE A LETTER TO BEN SIMPSON, DISTRICT ENGINEER OF THE <br /> D.O.T., WISHING HIM WELL IN HIS NEW VENTURE AND THANKING HIM FOR HIS CON— z <br /> SIDERATION IN THE PAST, <br /> THE BOARD CONCURRED WITH COMMISSIONER LOY`S SUGGESTION. <br /> COMMISSIONER LOY NEXT DISCUSSED THE RECENT RECREATION REFERENDUM <br /> , <br /> AND STATED THAT SHE FELT THE PEOPLE IN THE COUNTY HAVE NOW INDICATED THAT <br /> THEY DO THINK ORGANIZED RECREATION IS A PROPER FUNCTION OF THE GOVERNMENT. <br /> SHE STATED SHE WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS AND THE MEDIA <br /> FOR BRINGING THIS MATTER TO THE ATTENTION• OF THE PUBLIC IN ORDER TO RECEIVE <br /> Y <br /> A VALID OPINION OF THE VOTERS, <br /> COMMISSIONER LOY CONTINUED THAT SHE FELT IMMEDIATE PLANS SHOULD <br /> BE MADE TO INSTIGATE WHATEVER TYPE PROGRAM IS DECIDED UPON AND SUGGESTED <br /> THAT A CITIZENS COMMITTEE BE APPOINTED TO RECOMMEND AN INITIAL PROGRAM AND <br /> ITS IMPLEMENTATION ON A COUNTYWIDE BASIS, ALL WITHIN THE FINANCIAL LIMITS' <br /> f <br /> A <br /> OF 1/2 MILL.
