It <br />10 .= <br />G <br />COMMISSIONER Loy SUBMITTED A REPORT IN REGARD TO FORMING <br />A CITIZENS RECREATION COMMITTEE AS FOLLOWS: <br />April 20, 1976 <br />Report to County Commissioners <br />Res IRC Citizens Recreation Committee <br />From: Alma Lee Loy <br />Members could be selected from the following areas <br />in the county... <br />(1) North County <br />(2) Gifford _ <br />(3) South County "... <br />(4) Vero Beach <br />(5) Urban Vero Beach <br />(6) West County(tiorth and South) ' <br />..(7)_County Commissioner <br />+ They would be selected from geographic areas however, <br />their activities and recommendations would be for the <br />county as a whole. <br />Committee members should be knowledgeable of recreation <br />needs of the citizens and willing to spend time necessary <br />to conduct proper studies and develope county recreation <br />program within the financial limitations available. <br />- The County Commissioner representative would serve <br />as chairman. The committee could have thru it's <br />chairman, access to County personnnel(Administrator, <br />Planner, Finance Officer, Secretary) to provide information <br />and expertise as deemed necessary. <br />The committee to be charged with the -responsibility -of <br />recommending an initial program and itis implementation <br />to the Board of County Commissioners. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />WODTKE, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THE REPORT ON THE CITIZENS RECREATION <br />COMMITTEE AS SUBMITTED BY COMMISSIONER Loy. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy INFORMED THE BOARD THAT WE ARE IN RECEIPT OF A <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF VERO BEACH INDICATING THEIR DESIRE TO LET <br />US PURCHASE SERVICES FROM THEIR RECREATION DEPARTMENT, AS FOLLOWS: <br />APR 2 1.191 �_ .. <br />37 <br />32 e <br />
