0 <br />THE COUNTY COORDINATOR SAID HE FELT POSSIBLY THE PISTOL RANGE <br />COULD BE A SEPARATE PROJECT. HE POINTED OUT TO THE BOARD THAT THE REQUESTED <br />TRACT IS A SIZEABLE PIECE OF LAND WHICH IS VERY UNSIGHTLY, AND HE FELT IF <br />ANY ORGANIZATION WOULD LIKE TO IMPROVE IT, THAT WOULD BE FIRE. <br />AFTER FURTHER DISCUSSION, ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, <br />SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY DENIED THE REQUEST <br />OF THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE TO ESTABLISH A PISTOL RANGE ON THE COUNTY <br />4 DRIP PROPERTY ON OLD DIXIE HIGHWAY AND AGREED TO ASK THEM, IF THEY WISH TO <br />HAVE THIS LAND FOR OTHER RECREATIONAL USES, TO AGAIN PRESENT THEIR REQUEST <br />TO THE BOARD. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT INSTRUCTED COUNTY COORDINATOR THOMAS TO CONTACT <br />THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE; DISCUSS WITH THEM WHAT KIND OF LEASE THEY <br />HAVE IN MIND; AND ASK THEM TO SEND A REPRESENTATIVE TO DISCUSS THE MATTER <br />FURTHER WITH THE BOARD. <br />DEWEY WALKER, ZONING DIRECTOR, APPEARED IN REGARD TO AN EXCEPTION <br />TO ORDINANCE N0, 74-20 REQUESTED BY STELLA GARDNER AS SHE HAD A PROBLEM <br />WITH INGRESS AND EGRESS. HE NOTED THAT MRS. GARDNER HAS APARTMENTS ON TWO <br />LOTS AND HAS OWNED THIS LAND SINCE 1967.* THE PROPERTY IS CURRENTLY ZONED <br />R-3 SO THERE IS NO,PROBLEM WITH THE ZONING. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS STATED THAT MRS. GARDNER HAD BROUGHT <br />AN ABSTRACT TO HIM WHICH CLEARED UP ANY QUESTIONS HE HAD RAISED. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER MASSEY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SCHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY GRANTED A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO STELLA <br />GARDNER. <br />THE HOUR OF 9:30 O'CLOCK A.
