CAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED FOR COMMENTS FROM THE COMMISSIONERS. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE ASKED THAT UNDER SECTION S: DENSITY <br />i <br />DEFINITIONS, PARAGRAPH (C) THE WORDS "MORE THAN BE STRUCK OUT SO THAT <br />IT WILL READ: NIGH DENSITY SHALL MEAN 12 UNITS PER ACRE, BUT NOT MORE <br />THAN 15 UNITS PER ACRE. t. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE COMMENTED THAT WE•ALWAYS SEEM TO BE <br />TALKING ABOUT DOING SOMETHING'i-TO A PIECE OF PROPERTY, BUT HE IS CONCERNED <br />ABOUT THE PERSON WHO OWNS THAT PIECE OF PROPERTY, HE CONTINUED THAT <br />WITH THE GROWTH WE HAVE IN THIS COUNTY, WE WILL HAVE A DIFFICULT PROBLEM <br />AND HE FEELS STRONGLY THAT IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE A PERIOD OF TIME TO <br />HAVE SOME FLEXIBILITY AND THAT IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE IT RIGHT UP UNTIL <br />1979. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY AGREED WITH COMMISSIONER WODTKE AND STATED <br />THAT SHE HAS ALWAYS FELT OUR!ORIGINAL ATTEMPT AT A MASTER PLAN AND AN <br />IMPLEMENTING ORDINANCE MUST BE OF A GUIDE NATURE BECAUSE EVERYTHING IN <br />THE PLAN HAS BEEN PREDICATED ON POPULATION AND WHAT THIS COUNTY WILL BE <br />A <br />LIKE IN 1990, SHE CONTINUEDITHAT SHE DID FEEL SOMETHING IN THE NATURE <br />OF THE SECTION BY SECTION REZONING SUGGESTED BY MR. KRAMER SHOULD BE <br />DONE, BUT THIS WILL TAKE A LONG TIME AND IN THE INTERIM WE NEED A GUIDE. <br />SHE WOULD, THEREFORE, SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTING ORDINANCE PREPARED BY <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS. € <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT STATED THAT HE CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THE GUIDE <br />FORM IS THE PROPER WAY TO IMPLEMENT THE PLAN. HE POINTED OUT THAT THE <br />ACT STATES ALL DEVELOPMENT UNDERTAKEN SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH SUCH PLAN s <br />OR ELEMENT AS ADOPTED AND ASKED DID WE ADOPT OUR MASTER PLAN IN CONFORMITY <br />"'- WITH THIS ACT OR DID WE NOT. HE CONTINUED THAT HE COULD NOT READ INTO <br />THE ALTERNATE ORDINANCE PROPOSED BY THE VERO BEACH CIVIC ASSOCIATION <br />WHERE IT WOULD DEPRIVE ANY PROPERTYOWNERS OF THE USE OF THEIR PROPERTY <br />AS THEY WOULD ONLY HAVE TO SHOW THAT THEIR REQUESTED REZONING IS COM— <br />PATIBLE TO THE MASTER PLAN. <br />42 <br />
