F-1 <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER POINTED OUT THAT PART OF THE PROPERTY <br />IN QUESTION EXTENDS INTO R-1 ZONING AND THE LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT ONLY CALLS <br />FOR REZONING FROM C-1 TO R -IE, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT ONLY THE C -I PORTION OF THIS PROP- <br />ERTY CAN BE REZONED AT THIS HEARING BECAUSE THE AD WOULD BE DEFECTIVE, <br />DISCUYSION FOLLOWED ON THE POSSIBILITY OF DOWN -GRADING THE AD- <br />VERTISED ZONING TO R-1 INSTEAD OF R -?.E. <br />COMMISSIONER �IODTKE ASKED WHETHER MRS, 1'.HITFIELD AGREES WITH THE <br />RECOMMENDED R -IE ZONING, AND MR. BERG STATED HE WAS NOT SURE SHE FULLY <br />UNDERSTANDS WHAT IT ENTAILS, <br />DEWEY VALKER, ZONING DIRECTOR, STATED THAT MRS. WHITFIELD CAME <br />TO HIS OFFICES THE ZONING WAS FULLY EXPLAINED TO HER; AND HE FEELS SHE IS <br />WELL AWARE OF THE RESTRICTIONS. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED WHY VIE WAS RECOMMENDED INSTEAD OF R-1, <br />MR, WALKER ANSWERED THAT MRS. WHITFIELD DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THE <br />CHANCE OF SELLING A ONE -ACRE LOT AND HAVE SOMEONE SPLIT IT UP AND PUT TWO <br />HOUSES -ON IT, R-lE WOULD PREVENT THIS SITUATION. <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER NOTED THAT IF THIS ZONING IS APPROVED <br />TODAY, THE R -IE WILL STOP 669` SOUTH OF "!ABASSO ROAD AND THE SMALL REMAIN- <br />ING PIECE WILL STAY R-1. <br />IT WAS FELT THIS DID NOT PRESENT ANY PROBLEM, <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED IF ANYONE PRESENT WISHED TO BE HEARD, <br />THERE WERE NONE. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MASSEY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED ORDINANCE No, 76-15 AS AMENDED TO <br />REZONE THE NORTH 660 FEET OF THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN THE LEGAL ADVERTISE <br />MENT TO R -IE. <br />37 <br />
