E71 <br />To: Board of County Commissioners 10/20/76 <br />Indian River County, Florida Page One <br />We. the unit owners of Tropic Groves, Inc. - a 32 -unit, <br />self -governed condominium located at 1166 Sixth Avenue, Vero <br />Beach, Florida - situated on hot 10, Vero Land Company's <br />Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 3, Page 19, Public <br />Records of St. Lucie County, said land now lying and being <br />in Indian River County, Florida, hereby respectfully object <br />to the granting of a sewerage franchise to Tropic Groves <br />Development Corporation, covering the following described <br />property: "Lot 10 and the west one-half of Lot 9, Vero <br />Land Company's Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 3, <br />Page 199 St. Lucie's County records, said land now lying <br />and being in Indian River County, Florida% <br />There is no mention of Lot 9 in our Purchase. Agreement or <br />in our Condominium Documents. Our understanding is that the <br />original plans of the developer were to construct 144 units on <br />Lot 109 and we have to assume that the present sewerage treat- <br />ment plant was built to handle 144 units only if indeed it <br />will handle 144. Also, we must assume that the possibility <br />of objectionable odors at peak period of use would exist. <br />In the interest of public health, we respectfully suggest <br />that a complete survey be made and submitted to the Board of <br />County Commissioners for study to ensure adequate adherence <br />to health standards. <br />Secondly, we must htrenuously object to the rate structure <br />requested by Tropic Groves Development Corporation for monthly <br />sewer service. Our agreement with the developer at the time <br />of purchase was $4.75 per month, per unit, for sewer service. <br />Inasmuch as all units at Tropic Groves, Inc. contain two <br />bathrooms, your approval of the rate structure proposed by <br />Tropic droves Development Corporation for sewer service would <br />(continued) <br />C� 2 0 <br />976 e96 27.::: ; x.35 <br />
