CHAIRMAN WODTKE NOTED THAT THIS IS A PRIMARY CITRUS AREA AND <br />0 <br />THERE IS NECESSARILY A GREAT AMOUNT OF SPRAYING, IRRIGATION, ETC, THAT <br />MUST BE DONE, AND HE FELT THE 'PRIMARY USE OF THE LAND IS A VERY IMPORTANT <br />FACTOR TO CONSIDER, <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT STATED THAT HE DOES NOT FEEL R-lE IS <br />COMPATIBLE IN THIS AREA AND WOULD ALSO LIKE TO GET RID OF THE <br />COMMERCIAL ZONING, WHICH WE CANNOT DO AT THIS TIME, BUT CAN ONLY ASK THE <br />ZONING T'•OARD TO LOOK AT IT, <br />VAL BRENNAN, COUNTY PLANNER, INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THEIR <br />STUDIES ON WABASSO ROAD ARE DONE AND READY FOR PRESENTATION TO THE <br />ZONING COMMISSION, AND THEY ARE RECOMMENDING AGRICULTURAL ZONING, <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE STATED THAT IF ANY COMMISSIONER WISHED TO VOTE <br />FOR DENIAL OF THE REZONING, HE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THEIR REASON IN THE <br />MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER STATED HIS REASON IS THAT THE AREA IS <br />ALMOST ENTIRELY AGRICULTURAL AND THE FACT THAT THERE IS A COMMERCIAL <br />STRIP TliERE NOW DOES NOT AFFECT THE SITUATION BECAUSE WE KNOW WE ALREADY <br />HAVE T00 MUCH COMMZRCIAL ZONING IN THE COUNTY AND STRIP ZONING IS OUT- <br />DATED. <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON AGREED. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT INFORMED THOSE PRESENT THAT ONE OF THE <br />PARTIES OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED REZONING IS A STOCKHOLDER IN THE <br />0 <br />COMPANY HE WORKS FOR, AND HE IS, THEREFORE, ASKING THE ATTORNEY FOR <br />ADVICE AS TO WHAT HE SHOULD DO. HE STATED THAT HE HAS NO FINANCIAL <br />INTEREST AND WAS PREVIOUSLY ADVISED THAT WHEN HE HAS NO DIRECT FINANCIAL <br />INTEREST, HE IS OBLIGED TO VOTE. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS NOTED THAT THE FACT HAS BEEN DECLARED AND THE <br />BOARD HAS SET UP POLICIES IN THE PAST, AND HE WOULD SUGGEST COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE SET UP BY THE BOARD, FILE THE NECESSARY <br />PAPERS AND ABSTAIN FROM VOTING, <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT ON THE ADVICE OF COUNSEL LEFT THE COMMIS- <br />SION ROOM WHILE VOTING TOOK PLACE, <br />THE ATTORNEY WILL DETERMINE WHETHER AN AFFIDAVIT NEED BE FILED <br />IN THIS MATTER. <br />. <br />25 <br />NOV 171976 <br />. <br />et� �7 . ..2 50 <br />
