A member of the Indian River Land Trust; <br />g. A member of the Sierra Club; <br />h. A member of the Pelican Island Audubon Society; <br />i. A member of the Vero Beach/Indian River County Board of Realtors; <br />j. A member of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce or Council <br />of One Hundred; <br />k. A member of a Taxpayers' Association; <br />I. A member of a local civic association; <br />m. A member of the agriculture community; <br />n. A member of the development community. <br />o. A member from the Indian River County Mosquito Control Board. <br />p. Two members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners from <br />the community at -Targe. <br />3. TERM OF OFFICE. <br />The term of office for each member shall be two years. <br />4. POWERS AND DUTIES. <br />The Land Acquisition Advisory Committee shall have the power and duty to: <br />a. Carry out the policies of the Indian River County Comprehensive <br />Plan, pnmardy fulfilling the specific upland acreage acquisition <br />commitments of the policies of Conservation Element Objective 6, <br />but including the longer term acquisition of environmentally <br />significant lands (beyond the minimum specified acreage of <br />Objective 6) including environmentally significant wetlands as well <br />as native upland plant communities; <br />b. Work with the County and all municipalities to make priorities for <br />future land acquisition; <br />2 <br />
