The fourth circuit, the Wastewater Treatment Plant Feeder, No. 13-0106
will be all underground and will no longer require a riser pole. Approxi-
mately 330 feet of new concrete encased.duct with two 4" conduits will be
run from the Wastewater Treatment Plant transformers north across 17th Street
under the proposed bridge to a point on the Power Plant south property line
approximately 300 feet east of Y nhole No. 3. This item of the contract
includes the installation of and all terminations of two circuits each con-
sisting of three 15kV No. 1/0 AWG aluminum conductor concentric neutral cables
suitable for direct burial and running from the Wastewater Treatment Plant
transformers in the conduit to the Power Plant property. These six cables
will then be direct buried on the Power Plant property for approximately 300
feet to Manhole No. 3.
A single phase 50kVa pad mounted transformer with feed through type pri-
mary bushings will be installed on power plant property for feeding a bridgE
streetlighting service. One phase of circuit 13-0106 will be connected through
this pad mounted transformer by means of load break elbow connectors.
A pad mounted switching enclosure with load break elbow disconnects for
each of the two Wastewater Treatment Plant three-phase circuits will also be
installed near Manhole No. 3. The existing cables for circuit 13-0106 will be
spliced to 1/0 AWG cables in the manhole and run to the switch enclosure. The
second feed to the enclosure will consist of 1/0 AWG cables Y -spliced to the
13-0101 feeder in the manhole.
Effluent from the City Wastewater Treatment Plant is used by the Power
Plant for cooling tower makeup water. The cooling tower makeup pumps are located
in the Wastewater Treatment Plant but are fed and controlled from the Power
Plant. The underground conduits containing power and control circuits for these
pumps interfere with a proposed bridge pier where they cross 171th Street. This
item of the proposed contract includes the relocation of the two motor circuits.
8
L1
DEC 11976 27
