L'
r .
The rebuilding of the distribution line in the AlA intersection is also included
in this item. This will require the installation of concrete dead end poles,
394.5 MCM, 19 strand AAAC phase conductor and 4/0 AWG AAAC neutral.
ITEM IV - UNDERGROUND DISTRIBUTION
This item covers all underground construction required for relocation of
.masers for circuits No. 13-01019 13-0107, and 13-0105 near the Power Plant,
for two underground feeds to the City Wastewater Treatment Plant, and for the
installation of a pad mounted transformer to serve -the bridge streetlighting.
All of the existing feeders with which this proposed contract is con-
cerned are installed in underground ducts from 13,200 volt indoor metalclad
switchgear in the power plant to a Manhole No. 3, which is located on power
plant property near the north right-of-way line of 17th Street. Each of
these feeders consists of three single conductor, neoprene jacketed, shielded,
butyl rubber insulated, 350 MCM copper phase conductors and a #2 AWG copper
neutral conductor in a 5" transite conduit.
There are four circuits in Manhole No. 3, No. 13-0101, 13-0105, and 13-0107
which have been mentioned above. The fourth circuit is the Wastewater Treatment
Plant Feeder, No. 13-0106. Each circuit exits through a separate window in
5" concrete encased transite conduit to four separate riser poles. The riser
poles have 5" aluminum riser conduits to a spreaderhead and 2" aluminum con-
duit from the spreaderhead to single conductor compound filled potheads. All
four riser poles are in conflict with the proposed 17th Street Paving.
The work under this item will consist of removing all existing riser con-
duits and potheads and pulling the existing cables back into the manhole. All
four riser ducts will be cut back and new conduits spliced to the existing
transite and run to three new riser poles. New riser conduits and terminators
will be installed and new 15kV cables pulled from the new riser poles to Manhole
No. 3, where they will be spliced to the existing cables for circuits No. 13-0101,
13-0105, and 13-0107.
7
Ll
DEC -11976 VeR V ..4 , 357
