RESOLUTION NO. 2003- 131 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, RESTRUCTURING THE MARINE <br />ADVISORY NARROWS WATERSHED ACTION <br />COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County is greatly affected by, dependant upon, and <br />served by the Indian River Lagoon; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Indian River County to <br />maintain, preserve and enhance the natural beauty, water quality and usefulness of the <br />Indian River Lagoon as an irreplaceable natural resource; and <br />WHEREAS, the Marine Advisory Board has recommended that the above <br />purposes and the intergovernmental coordination requirements of the Local <br />Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, F.S. <br />163.3177(4)(a) and F.S. 163.3177(6)(h), can be best advanced by expanding the <br />Marine Advisory Board to also serve as the Narrows Watershed Action Committee for <br />the Marine Resources Council of East Florida; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the will of the Board of County Commissioners to restructure the <br />composition of the Marine Advisory Narrows Watershed Action Committee in Tight of <br />recent ordinance changes; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. ESTABLISHMENT. <br />The Marine Advisory Narrows Watershed Action Committee is hereby reestablished <br />and restructured. This resolution repeals and replaces Resolution 89-25 and <br />Resolution 89-152. <br />2. MEMBERSHIP. <br />The Marine Advisory Narrows Watershed Action Committee shall be composed of <br />fifteen members, each members must be a resident of Indian River County with <br />membership as follows: <br />a. A representative of a local environmental organization, such as, but not <br />limited to, the Audubon Society, the Sierra Club, or the Florida <br />Defenders of the Environment; <br />b.
