THE APPROPRIATE DEPARTMENTS TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT INFORMATION IS AVAIL- <br />ABLE, AND THE MORE THAT IS AVAILABLE, THE MORE YOU CAN SPEED UP THE <br />PROCESS AND CUT DOWN THE COST, <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE NOTED THAT WE DO HAVE AN UP-TO-DATE COMPREHEN- <br />SIVE LAND USE STUDY, AND MR. OLNEY STATED THAT THIS WOULD BE OF GREAT <br />VALUE TO THEIR STUDY. <br />MR. SEARCY PRESENTED THE BOARD WITH BOOKLETS DESCRIBING THEIR <br />PROPOSED STUDY, THEIR STAFF AND THEIP QUALIFICATIONS. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY ASKED THAT THE RECORD INDICATE THAT ALL THE <br />ENGINEERS INTERVIEWED THIS AFTERNOON HAVE FILED THE APPROPRIATE PAPERS <br />AS TO THEIR BACKGROUND AND SCOPE WITH THE ADMINISTRATOR AND THEY CAN BE <br />REVIEWED IN HIS OFFICE, <br />THE INTERVIEW TERMINATED AND MR. SEARCY AND MR. OLNEY LEFT. <br />ROSEMARY RICHEY, SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS, APPEARED AND REQUESTED <br />THAT AN EMERGENCY ITEM IN REGARD TO IMPLEMENTATION OF STATE BILL No. 1206 <br />BE PLACED ON THE AGENDA. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER LOY, <br />HE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO PLACE THE EMERGENCY ITEM REQUESTED BY <br />I11RS, RICHEY ON TODAY'S AGENDA. <br />MRS. RICHEY INFORMED THE BOARD THAT SENATE BILL 1206 (CH. 76- <br />121) IS IN REGARD TO UPDATING OF FLORIDA PRECINCTS TO CONFORM WITH THE <br />UIDELINES OF THE U.S. BUREAU OF THE CENSUS, AND MAPS SHOWING THIS <br />NFORMATION MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE IN TALLAHASSEE <br />NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 15, 1976, SHE STATED THAT THE SECRETARY OF STATE <br />�ISHES THE BOARD TO APPOINT A DESIGNEE TO FULFILL THESE LEGISLATIVE <br />REQUIREMENTS AND PROVIDE HIM WITH THE NAME OF THE DESIGNEE, <br />IN DISCUSSION, IT WAS NOTED THAT THIS MAP WILL FREEZE THE <br />RECINCT BOUNDARIES AS OF .JANUARY 1, 1977, UNTIL AFTER THE 1980 CENSUS <br />S TAKEN, IN OTHER WORDS, THEY WISH TO BE PROVIDED WITH A MAP SETTING <br />OUT THE BOUNDARIES OF OUR PRESENT PRECINCTS. <br />ON MOTION MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />CHMUCKER, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPOINTED ROSEMARY RICHEY, SUPERVISOR <br />F ELECTIONS, TO BE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY'S DESIGNEE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF <br />SENATE BILL NO. 1206 (CH. 76-121), <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER LOY, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO ADD TO TODAY'S AGENDA AS AN EMERGENCY ITEM <br />u <br />10 <br />
