their names be omitted from the official Republican Primary Ballot. <br />The secretary of State of the Itate of Florida, having filed with this Board <br />the names of candidates for Otate offices on the Democratic Primary ballot for the <br />said election to be held Tuesday, June 3rd, 1930, it was ordered that the following <br />named persona be placed on the official ballot for the office designated: <br />"SEC_RETARY OF STATE: <br />H. Clay Crawford, Jr., <br />R. A. Gray <br />T. R. Hodges <br />William IVT. Toomer. <br />--"RAILROAD COMMISSIONER, GROUP #1 <br />V. A. (Will) YacQuagge <br />Eugene S. Matthews <br />✓,/REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGEESS, 4th <br />Congressional District. <br />Dewitt T. Deen <br />Ruth Bryan Owen. <br />It was further ordered that the ballots be prepared, and printed, and that ballot <br />boxes be placed in shape with all necessary papers, ballots, laws and documents and <br />by the Clerk delivered to the Sheriff to be transmitted to the various election <br />precincts of the County. ✓ <br />There being no further business on motion made9 seconded and carried the Board <br />adjourned until Tuesday, May 20th 1930. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk. <br />;, WF <br />291 <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -b- - - <br />-- TUESDAY MAY 20th 1930. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the CourtyHouse in Vero Beach, at 10 o'clock A.M.Tuesday, May 20th 19309 with the <br />following members of the Board presents Albert 0. Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; J.A. <br />IaBruce, J.J.P.Ham.ilton and John H. Atkin. also present were Files Warren, Clerk and <br />Clark S. Rice, Sheriff. <br />W.I.Fee and Mr. Baughman appeared before the Board regarding roads and ditches <br />west of Wabasso. On Motion made by Commissioner La0ruee, it was ordered that the County <br />and ditches <br />stand 1/2 of the expense of putting Baughman road/to the creek zAtk in proper shape, <br />to releive drainage ditches and put everything in the proper shape. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that dump trucks be rented to W.F.Graves to haul <br />naterial from 77abasso to building site. It being understood Mr. Graves will notify the <br />County Engineer when and how many trucks needed. tient to be paid at usual price for <br />such work as set by the County Engineer. <br />It was agreed that L.-S.Barnard be given the privilege of removing old frame house <br />)ff Lot 10 Blk 5 Edgewood Addition which lot the County holds a mortgage. Commissioner <br />Tongue, opposed the proposition. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that installation pipe through Lateral *A* road <br />train water in G-7 ditch does not exceed 15 inch in diameter which was specified by <br />Y. <br />F. Graves, as this �i ch cisposes into artificial ditch cut by Graves and associates. <br />iwas ordered at F.G.Fletc r be employed by the County at a salary of $175.00 <br />)er month to supervise the construction of the Jail. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that mortgage on Donn A Keffer house be turned <br />)ver to the Cbu�ty attorney for foreclosure. <br />It was ordered that the Clerk instruct J.M.Knight to file plat showing all streets <br />
