page 2 <br />request of the County in the unlikely event an EIS is required. At this <br />time we do not anticipate the need for any EIS submissions for the <br />activities proposed in the Preapplication; <br />6. Advice to the County regarding other programmatic requirements which <br />are necessary to ensure the timely submission of the application to HUD <br />and A-95 review agencies; <br />7. Attend the one required Public Hearing to be held on March 28, 1977; and, <br />8. Continuing Services - Beginning the effective date of this contract, the <br />CL.isultant will be available to the County to provide such continuing <br />services advice and assistance, as specifically requested by the <br />-" County, relating to its Comm:,nity Development Program. <br />II. Compensation and Method , <br />1. The County shall pay to Adley Associates, Inc. the sum of $3,500.00 l ll <br />direct out-of-pocket expenses as full and complete compensation for the <br />services set forth in the Scope of Services, items 1 through 7, inclusive. <br />a. The Consultant shall submit his invoices to.the County monthly, on <br />a percentage of completion basis. Payment shall become due upon <br />receipt of a billing statement from the Consultant specifying the <br />percentage of completion, amount due for professional services and <br />direct costs experienced in the provision of these services. <br />b. Direct costs for travel expenses to cities in which the traveller <br />does not permanently reside will be subject to the following limita- <br />tions: Air travel at tourist fare, automobile rental at National <br />Car Rental (or equivalent) intermediate size rates, 18 cents per <br />mile driven for personal automobiles, Holiday Inn (or cMaivalert) <br />hotel room at single occupancy, meals at cost plus 15% tip, and other <br />expenses such as parking and long-distance telephone at actual cost <br />incurred. Other direct costs include such items as printing, draft- <br />ing, special equipment, etc. at actual costs incurred. The Consultant <br />will certify that all costs for which reimbursement is claimed due <br />were incurred in the direct performance of services as otherwise <br />provided in this Section, and will supply receipts upon the request <br />of the County. <br />2. For services provided under the Scope of Services, item 8, Continuing <br />Services; <br />a. Payment shall become due upon receipt by the City of*a requisition <br />for payment from the Consultant. For all such services rendered <br />at the request of the County, the County shall pay to the Consultant <br />an amount not to exceed $32.00 per man-hour expended plus direct <br />costs as.full and complete compensation for Consultant's services and <br />MAR 2 31977 <br />u <br />t 29 <br />J <br />
