RESOLUTION NO . 2011 - 050 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> INDIAN RIVER COUNTY , FLORIDA , AUTHORIZING THE UTILITY <br /> SERVICES DIRECTOR TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA <br /> DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR A NEIGHBORHOOD <br /> REVITALIZATION SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br /> GRANT FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2011 , AND TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> EXPENDITURE OF THE :LOCAL FIRMS ( STATE HOUSING INTIATIVES <br /> PARTNERSHIPS (SHIP)) ON CDBG ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES AS LEVERAGE <br /> FOR THE 2011 CDBG NEIGBORHOOD REVITALIZATION APPLICATION . <br /> WHEREAS , it is the desire of the Indian River County Board of County <br /> Commissioners to submit an application to the Florida Department of Community <br /> Affairs for a Small Cities Community Development Block Grant in the <br /> Neighborhood Revitalization category to benefit persons of low and moderate <br /> income ; <br /> WHEREAS , the proposed Community Development Block Grant ( CDBG) <br /> application is consistent with the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan ; and <br /> WHEREAS , construction of a West Wabasso Sewer / Drainage Project serves low <br /> and moderate income beneficiaries ; and <br /> WHEREAS , it is desirable to assist in the scoring of the County ' s 2011 CDBG <br /> Neighborhood Revitalization application to increase it ' s competitiveness and expand <br /> the scope of that grant to benefit the Citizens of Indian River County . <br /> NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ; that <br /> SECTION 1 . The Board of County Commissioners hereby directs the <br /> County Clerk to execute all necessary certifications for the Community <br /> Development Block Grant application to be submitted on or before August 15 , 2011 . <br /> I <br />
