THE PHASE I WATER PROGRAM <br />A. <br />Description of Work <br />In November, 1976, the County applied to the Economic Development <br />Administration for grant assistance under P.L. 94-369, Sec. 107 and in <br />the amount of $697,000 to construct a treated water pumping station <br />at the City's water treatment plant and a 12" transmission line and <br />400,000 gallon elevated storage tank in the Gifford area. Treated <br />water was to be purchased from the City of Vero Beach under a City - <br />County Agreement dated January 11, 1973.
