ATTORNEY SMITH <br />URGED THAT THE BOARD FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE ZONING COMMISSION <br />AND THE COUNTY PLANNER FOR REZONING TO R-2. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED IN REGARD TO THE EXPENSE AND PROBLEMS IN- <br />VOLVED WITH SUBDIVIDING THE PROPERTY INTO TWO LOTS, AND ATTORNEY SMITH <br />STATED MRS. HE <br />DID NOT FEEL THAT ANYONE IN THE PUBLIC OBJECTS TO THE REQUESTED REZONING <br />AND NOTED THAT.NEITHER THE PRESENT OWNER NOR THE BUYER WANTS R-1 ZONING. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY NOTED THAT THIS IS AN AREA BACKING UP TO <br />• CLASS II WATERS, IT IS NEAR A WILDLIFE REFUGE, AND SHE FEELS IT NEEDS <br />TO BE PROTECTED. <br />ATTORNEY SMITH REITERATED THAT TO ZONE THIS ONE SMALL ISOLATED <br />PIECE R-1 WOULD BE SPOT ZONING. <br />MR. ALTMAN FURTHER NOTED THAT THE PROPERTY OWNED BY MR. SCHLITT <br />ACORSS THE STREET WILL BE DEVELOPED AS A LARGE SHOPPING CENTER, AND <br />MR.
