c <br />Of <br />8. The Society shall provide facilities and personnel to care for all <br />animals delivered by the impounding Officer or Sheriff Deputy of the County <br />according to the customary procedure of the Society. <br />9. The procedures to be followed in processing of animals is as <br />follows: <br />SM. <br />(a) The County is responsible for the processing of animals <br />captured by it and delivered to the premises provided by <br />the Society, which shall be initiated by the preparation of <br />an impounding record sheet, which sheet shall include a <br />description of the animal, the owner's name, if known, <br />the time and place same was picked up, and its condition. <br />Should it be injured, or obviously ill, the Impounding Officer <br />or Sheriff Deputy should first take it immediately to a <br />veterinarian. <br />(b) Those desiring a release of an animal captured by the <br />Impounding Officer or Sheriff Deputy of the County and <br />turned over to the custody of the Society shall accomplish <br />its release by identifying same at the facilities provided by <br />the Society, proceed to the Sheriff Deputy of the County, <br />pay all fines and fee, if any, secure a written release from <br />the Sheriff Department and deliver said release to the Society <br />facilities for the release of the subject animal. As a <br />condition of the release, the individual described as the owner <br />of the animal being released shall submit an affidavit obtained <br />from the Sheriff Department, which states that he or she is the <br />owner of the animal being released and the affiant shall be <br />responsible should anyone subsequently claim ownership of <br />the animal. <br />BC7K vJ <br />
