EULA.MORRIS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, MIGRANT <br />LABOR PROGRAM, INTRODUCED HERSELF TO THE BOARD AND INFORMED THEM <br />THAT HER MAIN JOB IS TO GET OUT AMONG THE MIGRANTS AND FARM WORKERS <br />IN OSCEOLA AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTIES AND DO WHATEVER SHE CAN TO ASSIST <br />THEM. SHE CONTINUED THAT SHE IS IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ON WEDNESDAYS <br />AND THURSDAYS AND CAN BE REACHED THROUGH THE E.O.C. OFFICE IN GIFFORD. <br />MS. MORRIS EXPLAINED THAT THIS PROGRAM IS NOT FUNDED AND IS REALLY JUST <br />A REFERRAL SYSTEM IN WHICH THEY TRY TO MAKE THE MIGRANTS AWARE OF THE <br />APPROPRIATE AGENCIES TO CONTACT FOR HELP AS MANY OF THEM ARE UNAWARE OF <br />THE SERVICES THAT ARE AVAILABLE. <br />DISCUSSION ENSUED IN REGARD TO THE PROBLEMS INVOLVED WITH THE <br />CLOSING OF LABOR CAMPS AND THE RESULTING DILEMMA FOR MIGRANT WORKERS. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS TOOK MS. MORRIS TO MEET MR. REGAN, <br />DIRECTOR OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE ANNOUNCED THAT HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRESENT <br />RESOLUTION No. 78-5 TO FORMER CITY -COUNTY BUILDING DIRECTOR DON ADAMS <br />TODAY AS MR.
