BERG CONTACT MR, BEISCHKE <br />IN THIS REGARD. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE PUT ADS IN <br />A NUMBER OF PAPERS AND INTERVIEWED A NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN REGARD TO WORK- <br />ING UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM AS AN ADDITIONAL PLANNER TO ASSIST <br />FELLSMERE AND SEBASTIAN WITH THEIR COMPREHENSIVE PLANS-. HE STATED THAT <br />HE HAS TAKEN ONE OF THE APPLICANTS, DAVID MARSH, TO SEBASTIAN AND <br />FELLSMERE TO MEET CITY OFFICIALS,AS SUGGESTED BY THE BOARD, AND.THEY <br />HAVE FOUND HIM ACCEPTABLE. THE ADMINISTRATOR CONTINUED THAT MR. MARSH <br />LIVES IN MAITLAND, BUT WANTS TO COME TO INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, THEY HAVE <br />ESTABLISHED.A SALARY OF $14,000. HE RECOMMENDED THAT MR. MARSH BE HIRED <br />AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO START TO WORK FOR THE TWO MUNICIPALITIES. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, CHAIRMAN WODTKE VOTED IN FAVOR, THE BOARD AUTHORIZED THE ADMIN- <br />ISTRATOR TO EMPLOY DAVID MARSH TO HANDLE THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE <br />PLANS FOR THE MUNICIPALITIES OF SEBASTIAN AND FELLSMERE AND AGREED THAT <br />THE MONIES FOR HIS SALARY BE TAKEN FROM THE PUBLIC WORKS APPROPRIATIONS <br />AND HIS SALARY BE ESTABLISHED AT $14,000. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT INQUIRED WHAT WAS BEING DONE TO FILL THE <br />POSITION OF COUNTY PLANNER, AND ADMINISTRATOR KENNINGS STATED THAT THEY <br />HAVE ALREADY PLACED ADS AND ARE RECEIVING APPLICATIONS. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT NOTED THAT HE HAS HAD A REQUEST FROM <br />MEMBERS OF THE ZONING BOARD THAT THEY BE ALLOWED TO HAVE SOME INPUT INTO <br />THAT PROCESS AND MAKE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS THAT THEY THINK WOULD IMPROVE <br />EFFICIENCY. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE INSTRUCTED COMMISSIONER SIEBERT TO WORK WITH <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS IN REGARD TO SELECTING A NEW COUNTY PLANNER, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT A. MARIAN SOMERS <br />OWNED A PIECE OF PROPERTY IN SUMMERPLACE, WHICH WENT TO A TAX DEED BE- <br />CAUSE OF NON-PAYMENT OF TAXES. THE SUBSEQUENT BIDDING ON THIS PROPERTY <br />WENT OVER THE AMOUNT REQUIRED TO PAY OFF THE CERTIFICATES, AND THE <br />STATUTES REQUIRE 'THAT AN OVERAGE MUST BE PAID BACK TO THE PROPERTY OWNER. <br />THE ATTORNEY REQUESTED THAT THE BOARD AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF THE OVERAGE <br />TO A.
