-5- <br />SECTION IV - COMPENSATION <br />The County agrees to pay and the Engineer agrees to accept for <br />services rendered pursuant to this Agreement, fees in accordance <br />with the following: <br />A. Design Phase <br />For services rendered pursuant to the'Project in accor- <br />dance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, <br />including complete design and preparation of construction <br />plans and all incidental and preliminary work herein <br />described, the lump sum fee of Fifty-four thousand, two - <br />hundred dollars ($54,200.00). In addition the cost of <br />soil surveys shall be billed directly to the County for <br />payment. The estimated cost of soil surveys is One <br />thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00). <br />SECTION V - PARTIAL PAYMENTS <br />The County will make monthly partial payments to the Engineer in <br />accordance with the following schedule for all authorized work <br />pertaining directly to this Project performed during the previous <br />calendar month. <br />A. Design Phase <br />1. The Engineer shall submit duly certified <br />invoices in triplicate to the County Engineer. <br />.2. The amount of the invoices submitted shall be <br />the prorated amount due for all work performed to <br />date under the Design Phase, determined by applying <br />the percentage of the work completed as'certified by <br />the Engineer, to the total lump sum die for this <br />phase of work. <br />Boa�3 "E 5J 7 <br />
