There will be eight instructors at Indian River Middle <br />School -7, two at Douglas Elementary School, and five at Sebastian River Middle - <br />Junior High School. <br />The County Commissioners and the School Board have cooperated for the past <br />several years in this project and participation and activities have increased <br />with an average daily attendance in excess of 1,000 last summer. <br />It is estimated the program will cost $28,500 this year and the School Board is <br />requesting that the County Commissioners again participate and pay 50% of the <br />cost of the program. <br />Your usual cooperation will be appreciated. <br />Yours very truly, <br />William H. McClure <br />Superintendent <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS REPORTED THAT THE <br />CORPS OF ENGINEERS THROUGH THE FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE IS <br />REQUIRING THAT THE CHANNEL GOING OUT TO THE WATERWAY FROM OSLO <br />BOAT RAMP BE MARKED BY DAY MARKERS, THE AMOUNT FOR THIS WAS NOT <br />INCLUDED IN HIS ORIGINAL ESTIMATE, AND MR, THOMAS STATED THAT HE <br />WOULD LIKE TO APPROACH THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR <br />APPROXIMATELY $4,000 FOR THESE 12 FLUORESCENT DAY MARKERS WHICH <br />ARE TO BE SET IN ROCK, (HESE ARE AN ALLOWABLE EXPENSE UNDhK Itit <br />POWER BOATING PROGRAM, <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LOY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL <br />COORDINATOR TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL <br />22 <br />Boon 34 A,, 453 <br />I <br />
