k <br />A <br />.�y <br />DOES HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ACCEPT OR REJECT A ROAD, BUT FELT IF <br />THEY WERE NOT GOING TO ACCEPT MAINTENANCE, NOW IS THE TIME TO <br />LET THE DEVELOPER KNOW. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS NOTED THAT BEFORE WE HAD <br />SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS, A PRIVATE ROAD COULD BE BUILT ANY <br />WAY THE DEVELOPER WISHED, BUT NOW THE CRITERIA FOR A PRIVATE <br />ROAD IS THE SAME AS THE PUBLIC ROAD. HE NOTED THAT SOME <br />DEVELOPERS PREFER TO KEEP THE ROADS PRIVATE FOR SECURITY REASONS. <br />MR. CARTER STATED THAT•THIS DEVELOPER WANTS A PUBLIC <br />DEDICATED ROAD. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER, TO GRANT TENTATIVE APPROVAL OF GLEN <br />ACRES, UNIT II, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY ARE BUILDING <br />A.PUBLIC ROAD; THAT THE EXISTING CULVERTS ARE 18`x; AND THAT <br />THE DRAINAGE WILL BE SUFFICIENT. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED IN REGARD TO REQUIRING A PLANTING <br />STRIP, AND IT WAS NOTED THAT A PLANTING STRIP WOULD ONLY BE <br />NEEDED IF THIS WERE TO BE A PRIVATE ROAD. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
