. <br />b <br />CAROL DEMPSEY OF ADLEY & ASSOCIATES EXPLAINED THAT THE <br />$275.00 PER UNIT WHICH IS CONSIDERED "START UP" MONEY, WILL BE <br />RECEIVED IN A LUMP SUM AND ACTUALLY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE <br />SUCCESS OR FAILURE OF THE PROGRAM. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF SHE FELT IT WOULD TAKE ONE FULL TIME <br />PERSON TO ADMINISTER SUCH A PROGRAM, AND MS. DEMPSEY STATED THAT <br />IT DEFINITELY WOULD, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE YOU ARE UNDER A FIVE YEAR <br />CONTRACT. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE ASKED IF ANYONE ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTY COULD <br />APPLY' FOR THIS ASSISTANCE AND ALSO ABOUT THE DEFINITION OF INCOME <br />AND WHETHER,ASSETS WERE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. <br />MR. REGAN STATED THAT ANYONE IN THE COUNTY COULD APPLY AND <br />NOTED THAT THEY HAVE TO DOCUMENT THROUGHLY ANYONE THEY CERTIFY. <br />MS. DEMPSEY NOTED THAT HUD HAS SPECIAL FORMS TO SEE IF A <br />FAMILY IS ELIGIBLE AND DOES QUALIFY, AND ASSETS ARE DEFINITELY <br />INCLUDED IN THE FORMULA. <br />DISCUSSION ENSUED ON COSTS, PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED, <br />ADMINISTRATION, BOOKKEEPING, AND JUST WHAT WOULD BE INVOLVED IN <br />SETTING UP A PUBLIC HOUSING AGENCY PROGRAM, <br />MS. DEMPSEY INFORMED THE BOARD THAT SARASOTA, BOCA RATON <br />AND FORT MYERS, HAVE SET UP PUBLIC HOUSING AGENCIES. <br />MR. REGAN NOTED THAT THE SECTION S HOUSING ASSISTANCE <br />MUST BE APPLIED FOR BEFORE MAY .5TH.
