�I <br />STATEMENT OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />It shall be the policy of Indian River County to guarantee equal <br />employment opportunity with respect to race,.creed, color, sex, national <br />origin, and age. All supervisory personnel of Indian River County are <br />required to intensify and continue their efforts to hire, train, and <br />promote minority groups and females in all areas of their operations. <br />Each supervisor,is expected to review, on a regular basis, his current <br />polici.es._and practices to assure that equal employment opportunity is <br />r <br />implemented in an active manner and that no person shall suffer any <br />form of discrimination because of race, color, sex, religion, age, or' <br />national origin. <br />In order to formulate and effectively communicate this policy to <br />all levels of supervision as well as all employees, community agencies, <br />potential recruiting sources, and the general public, the following steps <br />shall be implemented: <br />I. DISSEMINATION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY POLICY <br />A. Internally <br />1. All supervisors shall be fully informed by: <br />written communication from the County Administrator: <br />inclusion of the Affirmative Action Program and <br />Policy in Indian River.County regulations; and <br />special meetings to discuss the program, individual <br />management responsibilities, and to review progress. <br />.2. All Indian River County employees shall be.informed <br />through such means as: <br />Indian River County E.E.O.
