PROCLAMATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS <br />5.A. PCMVC <br />RESENTATION TO OMMISSIONER ACHT BY THE ETERANS OUNCIL OF <br />IRC <br />NDIAN IVER OUNTY <br />John Michael Matthews, <br /> President of the Veterans Council of Indian River County, <br />stated that the Council is proud to honor Commissioner Macht who has been a dedicated supporter <br />of the Veterans Council’s events. He has served as an advisor for veterans in the classroom <br />programs, the history and patriotism educational van, the shooting competition, and has spoken at <br />numerous events. The Council is grateful for his time and wisdom. <br />Mr. Mathews <br /> then presented a plaque to Commissioner Macht. <br /> Commissioner Macht thanked the Council but expressed his view that the thanks should be <br />going in the opposite direction from not only the community, but the whole nation, as we would <br />not be sitting here practicing democracy without the veterans who make it possible.
