7.H. ETRPCV
XTENSION OF AX OLL RIOR TO OMPLETION OF ALUE
ABH
DJUSTMENT OARD EARINGS

ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowden, SECONDED by
Commissioner Davis, the Board unanimously extended the tax
roll prior to completion of Value Adjustment Board hearings, as
requested in the memorandum of September 19, 2006 from Tax
Collector Charles W. Sembler.

7.I. BAIRCB#2007/008–ABA
ID WARD OF ID NNUAL ID FOR SPHALT
PR–PWD/R
AVING AND ESURFACING UBLIC ORKS EPARTMENT OAD AND
BD
RIDGE IVISION

Commissioner Davis wanted to get a list of roads to be blacktopped in this fiscal year and asked
that the process be adjusted chronologically to alleviate conflicts in front of schools. He reported “some
bad ruts” in portions of Roseland Road and requested a projected timeframe to fix the road.

Public Works Director Jim Davis explained that the County does prepare a list of road
resurfacing projects, and the list is usually prepared in the spring and work would be completed by the
end of the fiscal year. He could have the list to Commissioner Davis in two weeks.

Administrator Baird explained that this was gas tax and not ad valorem taxes, in response to
Commissioner Davis’ question of where the dollars come from.

Commissioner Davis asked for sensitivity when work is being done in front of schools and
wanted to see Roseland Road repairs moved up, as it was dangerous especially when it rained.
October 3, 2006
8
