Director Keating reviewed the mobile home damage from the hurricanes of 2004, and he <br />addressed the action taken in March 2005 by the P&Z Commission unanimously recommending <br />the Board rezone the subject properties once a County initiated amendment to the Comprehensive <br />Plan was approved to allow the ROSE -4 District in the M-1, land use designation. That process is <br />now complete. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing. <br />Baxter Coston, 7410 132nd Street, Sebastian, stated he was in favor of the ROSE -4 zoning <br />and thanked Senior Planner Gale Carmoney for his efforts and his staff for keeping the <br />homeowners informed during this process. <br />There were no additional speakers and the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Neuberger, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Davis, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 2005-043, amending the zoning ordinance and <br />the accompanying zoning map for ± 32.54 acres located <br />within the Indian River Twin Estates, Mobile Villa and <br />Indian River Acres Subdivisions from RMH-8, residential <br />mobile home district (up to 8 units/acre), to ROSE -4, <br />Roseland residential district (up to 4 units/acre); and <br />providing codification, severability, and effective date. <br />9.A.2.
