CHAIRMAN WODTKE ASSURED HIM THAT THE BOARD IS MAKING EVERY <br />POSSIBLE EFFORT TO ACQUIRE FEDERAL FUNDS, GRANT OR LOAN, TO USE TOWARDS <br />THIS PROJECT. HE NOTED THAT THE ACTUAL BUDGET FOR THE STUDY IS <br />$123,000 AND THE BOARD IS HOPEFUL -OF GETTING HALF OF IT FROM FEDERAL <br />FUNDS, WHICH IS WHY THEY ONLY WANT'TO LEVY A TAX TO RAISE 50%. <br />MR. STEINITZ ASKED IF ANY CONSIDERATION HAS BEEN GIVEN TO <br />CHARGING THE USERS WHEN THEY TIE IN, AND COMMISSIONER SCHMUCKER FELT <br />THAT WILL BE DONE, <br />CHAIRMAN V`JODTKE NOTED THAT THE TAX TO BE LEVIED IS FOR <br />THE INITIAL STUDY, AND WHEN THE DISTRIBUTION LINES ARE PUT IN, ETC., <br />HE BELIEVED IT WOULD BE WORKED OUT ON THE BASIS OF A USERS CHARGE, <br />HE FELT THE PRELIMINARY WORK TO LOCATE THE WATER, FIND THE SITE FOR <br />THE PLANT, ETC., SHOULD BE PAID FOR BY EVERYONE. <br />WILLIAM KOOLAGE OF 815 26TH AVENUE SPOKE IN FAVOR OF THE <br />WATER DISTRICT, NOTING THAT WATER IS GOING TO BE A SERIOUS PROBLEM IN <br />THIS AREA OF RAPID DEVELOPMENT.
