I took Mr. McNanamy to observe this one 'and' he tooki
p ctures.`
We also came back to the courthouse, went through the records, and
,
found out who owned the property as we did on Items #3, #6 so he
could write t them Letters of Violation. items #l, #2, #4, #5, #7
we knew who the names and owners were.
(2) 1/4 mile west AIA on SR -510. I have had one letter and several
phone calls from the owner in•Altamonte Springs, Florida, on this. I
also gave Mr. McNanamy a tour of it and gave him the names of the owners.
And have advised them the DER was going to contact them concerning this
matter.
(3) Local tree service company hauling all their trees, brush,
debris, etc., west of Kings Highway just north of county line in
swampy area. I have not had a chance to advise DER of this one as yet.
I feel as Indian River County Litter Officer, County Administrator Mr.
Jack Jennings and Asst. Co. Administrator Mr. Neil Nelson have done
our share by bringing these violations to the attention of the DER.
And they have not as yet fulfilled their obligations, such as telling
me they are going to write letters to the violators and send us copies,
which they have not done. And as you can see by the report there simply
has not been anything done on their part in the past 8 months except
view the violations and take pictures, and the problem is still on an
Increase.
Carl Hefner
• .0 Co.
