SHERIFF .JOYCE STATED THAT THE SERVICE IS NOT EVEN ADEQUATE <br />FOR THE COUNTY. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY NOTED THAT WE ALL SAW THIS PROBLEM COMING. <br />SHE CONTINUED THAT WE NEED TO COMPLETELY REVAMP OUR FEE SCHEDULES AND <br />LICENSES, AND SHE FELT THAT UNTIL THE TIME WE HAVE RECORDS THAT INDICATE <br />WE ARE GETTING A NUMBER OF CALLS FROM THE CITY THAT ARE NOT RELATED TO <br />OUR REGULATIONS, WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING. SHE STATED THAT SHE IS NOT READY <br />TO SUPPORT THE SHERIFFS RECOMMENDATION FOR AN ADDITIONAL ANIMAL CONTROL <br />OFFICER AT THIS TIME. <br />SHERIFF .JOYCE STATED THAT HE JUST WISHED THE BOARD TO BE AWARE <br />THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH ANIMAL CONTROL AND IT IS GROWING DAILY. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS FELT WE ARE A LONG WAY FROM HAVING ADEQUATE <br />ANIMAL.CONTROL AND THAT WE SHOULD BEEF IT UP IN THE COUNTY, HE NOTED <br />THAT ANIMALS 110 NOT RECOGNIZE BOUNDARY LINES, AND HE FELT THE DIFFER- <br />ENTIATION BETWEEN CITY AND COUNTY HAS GOT TO STOP AND SOMETHING MUST <br />BE DONE ABOUT ADEQUATE CONTROLS. <br />IN FURTHER DISCUSSION, IT WAS AGREED THAT THE SHERIFF SHOULD <br />BRING THIS MATTER UP AGAIN AT BUDGET TIME. <br />SHERIFF .JOYCE THEN DISCUSSED THE $21,000 RECEIVED FROM THE <br />SALE OF THE CONFISCATED DC -3 AND NOTED THAT HE HAD PREVIOUSLY ASKED THE <br />BOARD TO CONSIDER TRANSFERRING THIS MONEY BACK TO HIS DEPARTMENT.
