Commissioner Solari noted that the project is keeping tons of phosphorous and nitrogen <br />out of the Indian River Lagoon, and requested that staff return with a brief presentation whereby <br />the public can be informed of this project, which is a real positive for the County. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the <br />Motion carried. The Board unanimously: (1) approved <br />the Bid Award to EMC, Inc. as the lowest and most <br />responsive bidder meeting the specifications as set forth in <br />the Invitation to Bid; (2) authorized the Public Works <br />Department to enter into a master agreement with an <br />option for two (2) additional one (1) year extensions <br />subject to satisfactory performance, vendor acceptance, <br />and the determination that renewal of this annual bid is in <br />the best interest of Indian River County; and (3) approved <br />the Sample Agreement, and authorized the Chairman to <br />execute said agreement after receipt and approval of the <br />required Certificate of Insurance, and after the County <br />Attorney has approved the agreement as to form and legal <br />sufficiency, as recommended in the memorandum of <br />October 26, 2009. <br />12.1.2.
