CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />CF <br />ITY OF ELLSMERE <br />City Manager Nunemaker gave the history of how the code enforcement duties <br />were split. The City currently has one officer dedicated to code enforcement who sees excesive <br />problems regarding abandon vehicles and excessive occupancy issues. He suggested an interlocal <br />agreement with the County that would allow the City to use its code enforcement officer in areas <br />outside the USA. <br />County Attorney Collins stated he would look into that possibility. <br />Community Development Director Bob Keating explained how the County <br />handles code violations and complaints. He stated that his staff would work with City staff <br />regarding code enforcement issues outside the City limits in unincorporated Indian River <br />County. <br />10. COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT <br />IRC <br />NDIAN IVER OUNTY <br />County Administrator Baird explained the County pointed out that when a <br />community redevelopment district is created it becomes an expense item in the County’s General <br />Fund. <br />CF <br />ITY OF ELLSMERE <br />Manager Nunemaker stated both the County and the City benefit from a <br />Community Redevelopment District and the City has taken steps to make sure it is not gouging <br />the County. <br />Discussion ensued on what the Community Redevelopment District affects. <br />11.
