0 <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS INTERJECTED AT THIS POINT IN REGARD TO <br />ITEM 18D (THE SQUARING -OFF AGREEMENT FOR WATER SERVICE) THAT CITY MANAGER <br />JOHN LITTLE HAS OFFERED TO BE HERE FOR THIS DISCUSSION IF THE BOARD FELT <br />IT WOULD BE HELPFUL <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT HE RECEIVED A PROPOSED AGREEMENT <br />FROM THE CITY AND SUBSEQUENTLY RECEIVED AN AMENDED AGREEMENT, AND THIS iITEM <br />WAS JUST PUT ON THE AGENDA TO GET SOME DIRECTION FROM THE COMMISSION. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy COMMENTED THAT THE BOARD APPRECIATES MR. . <br />LITTLE'S OFFER, BUT SOME TIME IS NEEDED TO DIGEST ALL OF THIS INFORMATION. <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS THANKED THE BOARD FOR HIS RE- <br />APPOINTMENT AND COMMENTED THAT HE HAS WORKED HERE FOR 13 YEARS AND APPRE- <br />CIATES VERY MUCH THE WONDERFUL RELATIONSHIP HE HAS HAD WITH THE BOARD ALL <br />DURING THAT TIME.- HE FELT FROM OBSERVING OTHER COUNTIES THAT IT IS VERY <br />UNUSUAL FOR A COUNTY COMMISSION TO WORK SO WELL AS A TEAM AND COOPERATE WITH <br />THE PEOPLE WORKING UNDER THEM AS HAS BEEN DONE IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS ALSO THANKED THE BOARD AND COMMENTED THAT IT IS <br />A JOY TO WORK WITH A BOARD THAT IS COOPERATIVE AND CONSISTENT IN ITS GOALS. <br />.CHAIRMAN WODTKE NEXT BROUGHT UP THE SUBJECT OF APPOINTMENTS TO <br />THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR THE FOUR YEAR TERM IN DISTRICTS <br />2 AND 4. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER Loy, <br />THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION No. 79-4 APPOINTING RALPH SEXTON <br />TO SERVE A FOUR YEAR TERM ON THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR <br />• DISTRICT 2. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE NOTED THAT DISTRICT 4 IS HIS DISTRICT AND <br />STATED THAT HE WAS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE CURRENT CHAIRMAN OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, RICHARD BIRD, HAS CONSENTED TO CONTINUE <br />SERVING. HE, THEREUPON, GAVE THE GAVEL TO VICE CHAIRMAN LOY TO TAKE OVER <br />THE MEETING SO THAT HE MIGHT MAKE THE MOTION TO APPOINT MR. BIRD. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, TO ADOPT RESOLUTION N0. 79-4 APPOINTING RICHARD BIRD TO SERVE A <br />FOUR YEAR TERM ON THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR DISTRICT 4. <br />VICE CHAIRMAN Loy CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
