He presented a slide depicting the RecycleTech <br />machine which shreds Styrofoam and turns it into a very compressed product, which he <br />displayed to the Board. Director Mehta listed the sites, including the re -use Exchange Center run <br />by KIRB (Keep Indian River Beautiful), which were accepting packing peanuts. He then <br />discussed the holiday closing schedules. Concluding, Director Mehta presented a slide <br />detailing the items which could now be recycled pursuant to the County's new expanded <br />recycling program. <br />A suggestion was made by Commissioner Wheeler regarding placing public notice <br />items, in the future, to Item 5. Presentations and Proclamation, so that more citizens would hear <br />them at the commencement of the Board Meetings. <br />The Board wanted to explore having Director Mehta's presentation looped on the <br />Government Access Channel and placed on the County's website. <br />Director Mehta received additional kudos from Vice Chairman Flescher, and <br />thereafter responded to questions from the Commissioners regarding packing peanuts, the <br />Customer Convenience Centers, and information on obtaining additional recycling bins. <br />15.B.4.
