ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Lay, THE BOARD'UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED GIVING THE SEBASTIAN VOLUNTEER <br />AMBULANCE SQUAD AN ADDITIONAL $5,000 OUT OF THE REVENUE SHARING BUDGET <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN AMBULANCE, AND APPROVED THE BUDGET AMENDMENT AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />ACCOUNT TITLE <br />EQUIPMENT <br />RESERVE FOR <br />CONTINGENCIES <br />ACCOUNT N0. <br />62-5105-402.12 <br />62-9990-701.00 <br />CREASE <br />$5,000.00 <br />DECREASE <br />$5,000.00 <br />ROSEMARY RICHEY, SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS, APPROACHED THE BOARD <br />AND REQUESTED ADVICE ON SETTING UP NEW PRECINCTS. SHE CONTINUED THAT <br />SINCE THE "WILD TURKEY" AREA ON SOUTH BEACH HAS BEEN ANNEXED, IT COULD BE <br />INCLUDED IN PRECINCT 5A WITH THE VOTING PLACE LOCATED AT THE FIREHOUSE. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS COMMENTED THAT NOBODY LIVES IN THE AREA THAT <br />WAS RECENTLY ANNEXED. <br />SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS RICHEY CONTINUED THAT TO ACCOMMODATE <br />THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE-IN THE MOORINGS, THE ST,. EDWARD'S UPPER SCHOOL MIGHT <br />BE USED AS A VOTING PLACE. S -HE CONTINUED THAT A PARKING AREA, RAMPS AND <br />A PUBLIC TELEPHONE ARE NEEDED AT THE PLACE WE SELECT AS A VOTING PLACE; <br />AND TO ACCOMMODATE THE USE OF A,WHEELCHAIR, A BOARD RAMP COULD BE <br />TEMPORARILY INSTALLED. <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT SUGGESTED THE SALES PAVILION IN THE <br />MOORINGS MIGHT BE A SUITABLE POLLING PLACE. <br />SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS RICHEY NEXT DISCUSSED SPLITTING <br />PRECINCT 5B IN ROCKRIDGE WITH SOUTH BEACH, WHICH WOULD BECOME 5D; THIS <br />WOULD LEAVE 1000 VOTERS IN ROCKRIDGE AND 600 ON THE SOUTH REACH. SHE <br />CONTINUED THAT THERE ARE 2500 PEOPLE IN PRECINCT 5, WHICH VOTE AT THE <br />CARPENTERS' HALL, AND WE ARE UNABLE TO INSTALL ANOTHER VOTING MACHINE AT <br />ti THIS LOCATION; ALSO THE PARKING IS NOT SUFFICIENT. i <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS STATED HE WILL LOOK INTO THE POSSIBILITY OF <br />THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH AS A POLLING PLACE. <br />MRS.
