N <br />ZONING DIRECTOR WALKER AND MRS. .JOSEPH BRATCHER CAME BEFORE <br />THE BOARD IN REGARD TO A SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR MRS. BRATCHER TO PLACE <br />A MOBILE HOME ON HER PROPERTY, WHICH IS IN AN R-1RM ZONE. <br />MR. WALKER NOTED THAT THE BOARD RECENTLY APPROVED A.SPECIAL <br />EXCEPTION IN THIS VICINITY NEAR NORTH GIFFORD ROAD AND 51ST COURT. HE <br />STATED THAT THE BRATCHERS HAVE OWNED THIS PROPERTY FOR TWENTY SOME YEARS <br />AND HAVE BEEN RESIDING ON THE SOUTH ACRE. THEY HAVE A 12' EASEMENT FOR <br />THEIR WAY IN AND OUT. MR. WALKER EXPLAINED THAT MRS. BRATCHER IS A <br />HARDSHIP CASE. HER HUSBAND IS TAKING TREATMENTS IN MELBOURNE FOR LUNG <br />CANCER AND SHE NEEDS HER SON OUT THERE TO HELP HER; SO SHE WANTS TO PUT <br />A DOUBLEWIDE MOBILE HOME ON THE ACREAGE. THEY HAVE A NUMBER OF PEOPLE <br />LIVING IN THE PRESENT HOUSE AND NEED MORE ROOM. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE ASKED IF IT IS THE PREROGATIVE OF THE BOARD <br />TO MAKE THIS'EXCEPTION. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE EXCEPTION IS <br />NEEDED BECAUSE THE PROPERTY IS NOT LOCATED ON A DEDICATED HIGHWAY. THE <br />MOBILE HOME IS ALREADY PERMITTED IN THIS ZONING.. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS ASKED IF THEY MEET ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS <br />EXCEPT THE WAY IN AND OUT, AND COMMISSIONER DEESON ASKED IF THE TOTAL <br />PROPERTY IS TWO ACRES. <br />14R. WALKER REITERATED THAT THERE IS A 12' EASEMENT FOR ACCESS <br />AND THEIR CURRENT HOME IS ON THE SOUTH OF THE TWO ACRES, WHICH IS THE <br />TOTAL PROPERTY. HE STATED THAT THE ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDS THAT THE <br />MINUTES READ THAT THE TRAILER HAS TO BE PLACED ON THE NORTH ONE ACRE <br />OF THE PROPERTY. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS EXPLAINED THAT THE PROBLEM THAT EXISTS IS <br />THAT IN THIS ZONE, YOU CAN HAVE ONLY ONE RESIDENCE PER LOT. THE TWO <br />ACRES IS -LARGE ENOUGH, BUT IT IS ALL ONE LOT. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ON DIVIDING THE LOT, AND, MR. WALKER ASKED <br />MRS. BRATCHER IF SHE WOULD BE WILLING TO DEED THE NORTH HALF TO HER SON. <br />MRS, BRATCHER STATED THAT THEY STILL OWE MONEY TO THE BANK ON <br />THE ACREAGE, AND COMMISSIONER DEESON NOTED THAT THEY COULD ASK FOR A <br />PARTIAL RELEASE. <br />42 <br />$om 39 PACE 396 <br />APR 4 1979 <br />
