0 <br />DISCUSSION ENSUED ON HOW THE PROPERTY COULD BE DEEDED TO <br />ACCOMPLISH THE PURPOSE, AND ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT YOU CAN'T DEED <br />SOMETHING TO YOURSELF - IT WOULD HAVE TO BE -SOMEBODY ELSE, EVEN IF IT <br />COMES BACK TO MRS. BRATCHER. HE NOTED THAT WE NEED A PUBLIC RECORD <br />SHOWING DIVISION OF THE LOT. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE NOTED THAT HE DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH <br />THE LOT NOT FRONTING ON A DEDICATED ROAD, AND ATTORNEY COLLINS FELT THE <br />EXCEPTION COULD BE GRANTED BASED ON THE PROPERTY BEING DIVIDED INTO <br />TWO SEPARATE PARCELS. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY GRANTED A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO ORDINANCE I! <br />I <br />No. 74-20 TO MRS. JOSEPHINE BRATCHER WITH THE REPRESENTATION FROM THE <br />APPLICANT THAT, SHE WILL COMPLY WITH THE ZONING REQUIREMENTS OF THE <br />R -IRM ZONE OF HAVING ONLY ONE DWELLING UNIT PER LOT. <br />MR. PELLEGRINO OF CODY & ASSOCIATES CAME BEFORE THE BOARD TO <br />REVIEW THEIR PERSONNEL STUDY. HE INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THEY INTER- <br />VIEWED PEOPLE IN•THE FIELD, ESTABLISHED VARIOUS POSITIONS, DID A SALARY <br />SURVEY, INVENTORIED EVERYBODY THEY COULD IN THE VICINITY AND IN SUR- <br />ROUNDING AREAS, AND PUT EVERYONE IN A SALARY RANGE AND TITLE CLASSIFICA- <br />TION. HE EMPHASIZED THAT THE SALARY RECOMMENDATIONS WERE BASED ON THIS <br />AREA AND THE SURROUNDING.VICINITY. MR, PELLEGRINO STATED THAT THE MAIN <br />THING THEY FOUND WAS THAT A MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WERE WORKING A 45 <br />• HOUR WEEK WITH THE LAST FIVE HOURS BEING PAID AT THE TIME -AND -A -HALF <br />RATE. IT WAS FELT THIS WAS A LITTLE UNUSUAL, AND THEY ARE RECOMMENDING <br />THAT THE BOARD ADJUST THIS BACK TO A 40 HOUR WORK WEEK, BUT LEAVE THE <br />PEOPLE AT THE SALARY THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN MAKING AT A 45 HOUR WORK WEEK. <br />MR. PELLEGRINO COMMENTED THAT THE FIVE HOURS THAT WERE PAID AT TIME -AND - <br />.A -HALF WERE NOT PARTICULARLY COSTLY BECAUSE OF WHERE THE SALARIES WERE, <br />BUT IF THIS POLICY IS NOT DISCONTINUED, IT WOULD EVENTUALLY BECOME <br />PROHIBITIVE. HE FELT THIS IS AN OPPORTUNE TIME TO GET AWAY FROM THIS <br />PARTICULAR PRACTICE. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE QUESTIONED IF THE WORK WEEK IS CUT BACK TO 40 <br />HOURS AND THE PAY REMAINS THE SAME, WHERE WE GET THE REST OF THE PRO- <br />DUCTIVITY. <br />43 <br />BOOK PAGE397 <br />APR 4 1979 <br />r <br />
