1 <br />RIGHT TO SUBLEASE IT FOR A HYPOTHETICAL SUM OF $500 A MONTH, WHILE PAYING <br />THE COUNTY LESS THAN $100A MONTH. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS SUGGESTED THAT THE .COUNTY TAKE 10% OF ANY <br />SUBLEASE OF THE TOWER OR BUILDING, AND THE BOARD AGREED THAT THE TOWER <br />IS A VALUABLE ASSET AND THE COUNTY IS ENTITLED TO A SHARE. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED AS TO MAKING PROVISION FOR THE AMBULANCE <br />SQUAD TO MAKE USE OF THIS TOWER AT A SPECIAL RATE. COMMISSIONER SIEBERT <br />FELT WE SHOULD RESERVE SPACE FOR THEM, BUT THERE WAS SOME DOUBT IF THEY <br />COULD UTILIZE IT WITH THEIR EQUIPMENT. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS WILL CHECK ON THIS MATTER.. <br />COMMISSIONER DEESON ASKED WHY WE STAYED AWAY FROM AN ESCALATION <br />CLAUSE, AND COMMISSIONER SIEBERT STATED HE FELT IT WAS BECAUSE IT WAS <br />FELT THE LAND WAS MORE OR LESS WORTHLESS FOR OTHER PURPOSES, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT STATE LAW PROVIDES <br />THAT THE COUNTY COMMISSION CAN PASS A RESOLUTION TO VOID TAXES ON PROP- <br />ERTY PURCHASED BY THE COUNTY TO BE USED FOR A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED RESOLUTION No. 79-41 VOIDING TAXES <br />ON THE MID -FLORIDA UTILITIES SYSTEM PROPERTY PURCHASED BY THE COUNTY. <br />APR 181979 <br />18 <br />
