G <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED TIMOTHY HALLETT'S BID OF $1,900.00 <br />FOR LOT 56, UNIT 2, DIXIE GARDENS SUBDIVISION; AND JAMES L. ROGERS' <br />BID OF $6,500.00 FOR LOT 23, GLEN ACRES SUBDIVISION. • <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS ASKED WHAT WOULD TRANSPIRE IF THE.BID <br />TRANSACTION WERE NOT COMPLETED WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TIME. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS REPLIED THAT THE CHECKS <br />ARE RETURNED AND REBIDDING TAKES PLACE, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS AFFIRMED THAT REBIDDING IS THE SAFEST APPROACH <br />TO TAKE, AS THE STATUTES STATE THAT THE HIGHEST BIDDERS ARE AWARDED THE <br />BID. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS COMMENTED THAT THE ADJA- <br />CENT PROPERTY OWNERS ARE ALWAYS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THAT AN APPRAISAL <br />OF THE PROPERTY' IS AVAILABLE AT HIS OFFICE. <br />DANA HOWARD, OF CARTER ASSOCIATES, INC., APPROACHED THE BOARD <br />REGARDING A REQUEST FOR TENTATIVE APPROVAL OF HIDEAWAY COVE, OWNED BY <br />LARRY CATRON. <br />WENDY LANCASTER, OF THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT, DISPLAYED AN <br />AERIAL MAP AND EXPLAINED THAT THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED EAST OF AIA; IS <br />PART OF KANSAS CITY COLONY; IS 1/3 ACRE IN SIZE; AND THAT WATER WILL BE <br />PROVIDED BY A PRIVATE COMMUNITY WATER SYSTEM. SHE CONTINUED THAT THE <br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE HAVE BEEN MET AND STAFF <br />RECOMMENDS TENTATIVE APPROVAL. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS NOTED THAT THERE ARE 50' TO 60' OF SEA OATS <br />AND SEA GRAPES ADJACENT TO THE BEACH WHICH SHOULD NOT BE DISTURBED, AND <br />ASKED IF THAT HAD BEEN TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY REPORTED THAT IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT 150' <br />TO 170' OF NATIVE VEGETATION BE LEFT BETWEEN THE OCEAN AND ANY CON- <br />STRUCTION. <br />MR. HOWARD STATED THAT THEY HAD A SET -BACK OF 167', AND THE <br />BOARD AGREED IT WAS SATISFACTORY. <br />DISCUSSION WAS HELD ABOUT THE DIP IN THE ROAD LEADING TO AIA. <br />ADMINISTRATOR KENNINGS FELT IT WOULD BE BEST TO HAVE IT FULLY <br />LEVEL BEFORE THE ROAD REACHES THE HIGHWAY. <br />15 <br />MAY 91979 BOOK 40 PAGE X20 <br />
