1 <br />MR. WALKER REPLIED THAT THE SWALE DITCH HAS NO INDENTATION, <br />AND HE IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE TELEPHONE COMPANY IS BURIED CABLES, AS THIS <br />COULD PRESENT A PROBLEM, <br />LOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER LYONS TO TABLE -THIS ITEM IN ORDER TO DETERMINE WHETHER THERE ARE <br />BURIED TELEPHONE CABLES ON THE EASEMENTS, <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED REGARDING WHAT PROCEDURE THE BOARD MIGHT <br />FOLLOW, <br />COMMISSIONER SIEBERT WITHDREW HIS MOTION AND COMMISSIONER <br />LYONS WITHDREW HIS SECOND, <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS SUGGESTED A FORM LETTER BE SENT TO THE POWER <br />COMPANY AND THE TELEPHONE COMPANY INQUIRING ABOUT THE EASEMENTS. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY FELT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA AND ALSO TO HAVE A <br />CHECK LIST SHOWING APPROVALS FOR PROPOSED RELEASE OF THE EASEMENTS. <br />MR, WALKER STATED THAT IF THE BOARD DIRECTS THE ZONING DEPART- <br />MENT TO TAKE CARE OF THIS, HE WILL HAVE HIS SECRETARY SEND OUT THE FORM <br />LETTERS. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED WHETHER THE INDIVIDUAL OWNER SHOULD CONTACT <br />THE TELEPHONE COMPANY OR THE POWER COMPANY BUT IT WAS DECIDED THAT A <br />REQUEST FROM THE COUNTY MIGHT RECEIVE A QUICKER RESPONSE. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS FELT THERE OUGHT TO BE A REASONABLE.FEE <br />CHARGED ON ALL REQUESTS OF THIS TYPE. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS VOLUNTEERED TO LOOK INTO THE POSSIBILITY <br />OF A CHECK LIST AND A REASONABLE FEE FOR THIS TYPE OF REQUEST TO EITHER <br />THE POWER OR TELEPHONE COMPANY. <br />M <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />LYONS, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED TO TABLE THIS ITEM UNTIL THE ABOVE- <br />MENTIONED ASPECTS HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATED. ° <br />ZONING DIRECTOR WALKER AFFIRMED THAT HIS DEPARTMENT WILL <br />MAKE A STUDY OF THE TELEPHONE COMPANY EASEMENT AND REPORT BACK TO THE <br />BOARD LATER IN THE DAY. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE NEXT OPENED THE DISCUSSION FOR THE RELEASE <br />OF EXCESS FUNDS FROM TAX DEED SALES. <br />5 <br />MAY 2 l9?9 <br />6QQK 40 PAGE 29 <br />3 <br />
