LEE <br />NUZIE TO ATTEND THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON HURRICANES AND COASTAL STORMS <br />IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA ON MAY 29-31, 1979. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE THEN,BROUGHT UP THE SUBJECT OF SELECTING A <br />REPRESENTATIVE TO THE TECHNICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS STATED IN SECTION <br />163.3207 OF THE FLORIDA LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS BRIEFLY EXPLAINED THE STATUTE�WHICH STATES <br />THAT EACH UNIT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE SPECIAL <br />DISTRICTS, SUCH AS HOSPITAL, DRAINAGE, ETC. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy QUESTIONED WHETHER OR NOT WE SHOULD DIRECT <br />A LETTER TO THE SPECIAL DISTRICTS REGARDING THIS TECHNICAL ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS FELT THE LETTER SHOULD BE DRAFTED BY THE <br />ATTORNEY, <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS COMMENTED THAT THE REPRESENTATIVE SHOULD BE <br />SOMEBODY WITH THE TECHNICAL EXPERTISE TO -DEAL WITH THE PROBLEMS THAT <br />MIGHT ARISE. <br />CHAIRMAN WODTKE REQUESTED THAT THE ATTORNEY PROCEED WITH THE <br />LETTER AS DISCUSSED PREVIOUSLY. <br />DI <br />MA 2 1979 BOOK . 40 PACE 294 <br />I <br />
