BARTON: <br />NEW INVESTMENT POLICY FOR OPEB (OTHER POST EMPLOYMENT <br />BENEFITS) TRUST <br />Jeffrey K. Barton, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, introduced Diane <br />Bernardo, Finance Director, who provided the details on staff's request to approve the new <br />investment policy for OPEB. She recalled that in 2008, the Board had approved Resolution <br />2008-163, establishing an irrevocable trust for OPEB to separately identify assets accumulated to <br />pay OPEB benefits for eligible retirees. Director Bernardo briefed the Board on the new <br />investment policy which was developed for the Trust, and which was designed for long-range <br />planning She thereafter presented staff's recommendation for the Board to approve the <br />19 <br />February 3, 2009 <br />
