Mr. Thomas thereafter <br />responded to the Board's questions regarding the duration of the performance. <br />Chairman Davis discussed how valuable these types of community events are; <br />noted how difficult it is to raise funds; and believed that the County should help facilitate these <br />activities. He added that any fee waivers might require re-evaluation, when the economic <br />situation turns around. <br />Administrator Baird asked Mr. Thomas if it would be satisfactory to have the loan <br />of the stage, minus the canopy, since the latter is what produces most of the labor. Mr. Thomas <br />acquiesced. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Solari, SECONDED by <br />Vice Chairman Flescher, the Board unanimously approved <br />waiving the standard rental fees for the use of the County <br />stage, without the canopy, for the 2009 Hibiscus Festival. <br />12.
