ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS COMMENTED THAT THERE IS A GENERAL COM- <br />PLAINT OF MOTORCYCLES RIDING THROUGH AREAS DISTURBING PEOPLE. HE SUG- <br />GESTED PUTTING UP A BARRICADE AT THE END OF THE DEDICATED RIGHT-OF-WAY. <br />ZONING DIRECTOR WALKER REPORTED THAT HE DIDN'T HAVE A RECOM- <br />MENDATIONS BECAUSE THERE IS A DRAINAGE DITCH THERE AND STATED THAT MR. <br />HAYS IS ASKING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR ABANDONMENT OF THE ROAD. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS ASKED WHERE THE DITCH LIES IN THE RIGHT- <br />OF-WAY,'AND MR. WALKER RESPONDED THAT IT LIES ON THE SOUTH 35' OF THE <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY. <br />ADMINISTRATOR JENNINGS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BOARD KEEP AN <br />EASEMENT FROM 27TH AVENUE TO 20TH AVENUE SO THAT YOU DO HAVE AN EAST TO <br />WEST EASEMENT FOR FUTURE UTILITIES. <br />WILLIAM KOOLAGE OF 815 26TH AVENUE STATED THAT IF THAT PIECE <br />ON LOTH STREET IS COMPLETELY ABANDONED BY THE COUNTY, IT WOULD BE A <br />PROBLEM AS THEY ALREADY HAVE A PROBLEM ON 26TH AVENUE AND NEED MORE EAST - <br />WEST DRAINAGE. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />SIEBERT, THAT THIS ITEM BE DELEGATED TO THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR FOR A <br />RECOMMENDATION ON THE DRAINAGE AND OTHER EASEMENTS PERTAINING TO THE <br />SOUTH SIDE OF LOTS 3 AND 4 OF SHADY ACRES SUBDIVISION AND THAT HE COME <br />BACK WITH SUCH RECOMMENDATION AT THE NEXT COMMISSION MEETING. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ABOUT OTHER PROBLEMS SUCH AS A STREET <br />SYSTEM AND ACCESS TO OTHER UTILITIES, <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. IT WAS VOTED ON AND <br />DENIED WITH COMMISSIONERS SIEBERT, Loy, DEESON, AND CHAIRMAN WODTKE <br />VOTING IN OPPOSITION. <br />ON MOTION MADE BY COMMISSIONER SIEBERT, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY DENIED THE REQUEST OF WILLIAM Q. AND DOROTHY M. <br />HAYS AND WALTER AND .JANE-BURKETT TO ABANDON A PORTION OF 10TH STREET BE- <br />TWEEN 23RD.AVENUE AND 27TH AVENUE IN SHADY ACRES SUBDIVISION. <br />ZONING DIRECTOR WALKER APPROACHED THE BOARD AND -EXPLAINED THAT <br />GRENVIEW GARDENS SUBDIVISION IS SUBDIVIDED INTO 35' LOTS, AND HAS BEEN <br />REZONED TO R-lMP•ZONING. THE STREETS THAT ARE IN ARE NOT BEING USED, <br />AND IT IS JUST A 10 ACRE TRACT OF WOODED LAND, MR.-TURMAN IS NOW RE- <br />QUESTING ABANDONMENT OF THE ROADS IN GRENVIEw GARDENS SUBDIVISION. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS ASKED MR.
