a <br />M. <br />The following Scope of Work defines the items necessary to evaluate the <br />sewage collection and pumping system in the Pebble Bay area for the <br />purpose of connection to the City of Vero Beach Sewerage System. <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />1. Obtain all as -built drawings and records of the sewage colaection and <br />pumping system. (Some of this information has been obtained in con- <br />junction with sewage treatment plant study.) <br />2. Review all drawings and records for completeness. <br />3. Determine standards required by the City of Vero Beach for connection to <br />City's system. <br />4. Perform a comprehensive inventory of the collection and pumping system <br />to include field checking of all drawings and records. Items observed <br />during field inventory will be noted on drawings. The comprehensive <br />inventory will include: <br />a. Inspection of all components of the five pumping stations in the <br />service area. Pump, motors, piping and all electrical components <br />will be inspected and conditions noted. The wet wells will be <br />'inspected and all dimensions determined. <br />b. Inspection of all manholes to determine if any leaks exist or if <br />any hydraulic problems exist. <br />c. Perform T.V. camera inspection of gravity collection system as re- <br />quired by the City of Vero Beach. <br />5. Review and analyze all field data. <br />6. Evaluate entire system to determine the following: <br />a. Number of connections in service area. <br />b. Potential number of new connections in service area, including pro- <br />posed'Indian Sumner development. <br />c. Maximum projected sewage flow in service area. <br />d. Capacity of existing pumping stations. A determination of any <br />hydraulic deficiencies associated with wet well size or pump <br />capacities. <br />e. Determine the master pump station and force main requirements to <br />tie into the City of Vero Beach's system at A -1-A and Silver <br />Shores Road. <br />f. Determination of improvements required to bring system up to <br />acceptable standards. <br />g. Preparation of construction cost estimate for required improve- <br />ments. <br />7. Perform cost sharing analysis for required improvements. <br />a <br />8. Prepare a report of the findings of this study and submit ten (10) <br />copies of the report to the County. <br />9. Anticipated time schedule for completion of this study is approximately <br />8 to 12 weeks.
